Awakening to Action 

 

Just as a Phoenix needs two wings to soar, the Phoenix Project consists of two parts essential in creating Phoenix members who rise above.

 

The Phoenix Project is a unique experiential program where members awaken deeply to themselves through action. The project is based on the principle: in our bodies and minds, we have the power and energy to create the life and world we want. 

 

Members not only think and envision how peace can be created in the world, but they take the action to create it. Only when you act on your vision can it become reality.

Phoenix members truly become the change they want to see in the world.

AWAKENING -

Through 12 days of training, members awaken to who they really are, their truest selves. They start to recgonize their life purpose.  They see that with passion for their real purpose they can find unlimited potential inside themselves! Focused on their purpose, members find what it means to have a determined mind and strong will. 

Phoenix members first awaken to their physical body through Dahn Yoga, DahnMuDo martial arts and meditation training. Through these mind-body practices members feel and learn to use universal energy, ki energy, to develop their sensitivity to themselves, humanity and the world.

The Phoenix Project provides an indispensible tool to its members- how to calm their thoughts and emotions. They learn to obeserve themsleves and others with no judgement and release emotional habits.  With a still mind, members can begin to watch themselves interact with their world.

In comes the action…

ACTION -

The Phoenix Projects teaches that creation takes place only when knowledge is moved into action.

Action is taken through physical exercise and volunteering services in the community. 

Through empowerment training members become aware of their limitations.  By breaking through those limitations members gain a new sense of confidence in themselves. 

Working in the community, members make a real and vital change in the world.  They see how to live a life of awareness in the community, and how they can continue to be aware of themselves even when the Phoenix Project is completed.

The Phoenix Project Program

includes a three part highly

experiential curriculum

for self-mastery and service.

 

                    BODY

Awakening:  Empower your body, enhance sensitivity and your will.

Action:  From park, trail and river cleanup to community center restoration.

 

                   MIND

Awakening:  Release old emotional habits, discover joy and ignite passion!

Action:  Leading Dahn Yoga classes to various groups in the community.

 

                  SPIRIT

Awakening:  Discover your highest purpose.

Action:  Preparing a plan aimed at achieving your vision upon completion of the program.

 

The Phoenix Project teaches how to

watch your choices and actions,

accept your choices and actions with no judgement or emotion,

choose the action that benefits both yourself and humanity,

create what you want,

and act on your creation!!
